To view pictures and other important information please click here. The National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization with some
of the brightest students in the school. These students must show a
substantial amount of scholarship (3.25 GPA or higher), service
(community service), leadership (officer position in clubs or other
organizations), and character (recommendation forms are filled out by
teachers and sponsors to see how the students do the work they are
given) in order to gain entrance into the club.
NHS is a very prestigious club with elite upperclassmen members.
NHS helps run activities for elementary schools, such as Parent-Teacher
nights, or helping the people who need it the most with holiday basket
and tutoring.
NHS also runs a daily Homework Place to help kids in the high
school with problems they’re having on their homework. This is a very
unused treasure that could be very helpful to the students of the
school. For anyone that wishes to be assisted with their classes,
dedicated NHS members will be in the library Monday, Wednesday, and
Friday from 7-8 AM, or Tuesday and Thursday right after school. They’ll
be happy to help you get through your more difficult classes and/or
assignments.
NHS meets every other Wednesday morning for sign-ups for tutoring
and other activities. If you wish to get a tutor for your child, or if
you need volunteers to help with a school function or other charitable
function, please contact Mrs. Cruz or Mrs. Kelly at the following
