Our Mission:
We at Webb Elementary School, working with our community, will encourage everyone to accept their responsibilities, to treat themselves and others with respect and to become lifelong learners so that we can live successfully in our diverse and ever changing world. We will maintain a safe learning environment which will include creating positive relations between staff and students and between students and students. This will include emphasizing positive values, social responsibilities and democratic ideas. 2011-2012 Annual Report WEBB ATTENDANCE POLICY
Students with good attendance have a much better chance of learning and getting good grades. Good attendance is important training for future employment and positive work habits that employers across the country are looking for as well. Parents, no doubt, want their children to achieve both good skills and positive work habits and most of you work with us to have good school attendance for their children. Working together, the school district and the cities of Hazel Park and Ferndale have developed a policy and passed local ordinances to focus on the limited number of students who miss an unusual amount of school and parents who allow healthy children to miss school. WEBB VOLUNTEER INFORMATION - 2012Volunteers are an important part of the day to day operations at Webb School. We couldnʼt do it without you! Volunteers at Webb drive on field trips, read to children, sell bagels, check homework, help at celebrations, listen to children read, help in the lunchroom and much much more! Without parental help, these programs cannot take place. You can make a difference in a
childʼs life by giving as little as 30 minutes once a week. Volunteer Form WEBB SCHOOL COMPACTWebb Elementary School is committed to providing your child with a positive, worthwhile and stimulating learning environment. It is our belief that every child is capable of achieving academic as well as social growth if teachers, students, and parents work together. In order to emphasize the importance of this relationship, we have developed the compact below. It highlights the responsibilities of each member. We hope that you will take the time to go over this compact with your child and help him/her to realize that these ideals are for their
education. 2012-2013 Student/Home/School Compact WEBB STUDENT CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE POLICYThis handbook, "The Hazel Park School District Student Conduct and Discipline booklet," has been prepared for you and your children to keep you informed and answer any questions you may have about rules and procedures here at Webb. WEBB PARKING LOT
Because of the traffic congestion in the Webb parking lot at arrival and dismissal times I need your help! In order to provide a safe environment for children and to alleviate as much traffic congestion as possible, please read and follow these guidelines. Parking Lot Guidelines
WEBB PARENT / STUDENT HANDBOOK
The Webb Elementary School Faculty, Support Staff, and I are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to help educate your children. We know that it is best accomplished when we work with you as a team. This partnership we form is reflected in our school’s Mission Statement and in our School Improvement Plan. The purpose of this handbook is to answer many of the questions that arise over the course of a school year regarding procedures within the building. We hope you will take the time to read it with your children, discuss it with them, and share your expectations for their success at Webb. We also hope that you will keep the handbook, along with the Student Conduct and Discipline booklet in a place that you can remember where it is and refer to it frequently throughout the year.
